The Autism Academy is the educational, rehabilitation, and research branch of the Iran Autism Association. The Advocacy Unit works to promote nationwide awareness, champion equal rights, and ensure practical, measurable outcomes. Its mission focuses on protection, reducing inequalities, expanding access, and driving systemic improvements in line with the eight pillars of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD). Over the past decade, this unit has contributed to drafting national policy frameworks, reforming laws and regulations, and monitoring their implementation — all with the aim of safeguarding fundamental rights for individuals with autism and their families, including:

The International Affairs Unit fosters partnerships with international institutions and creates opportunities for education, research, and the translation of specialized resources. The center seeks to streamline therapeutic and support processes, prevent the fragmentation of resources, and serve as a cornerstone in improving the quality of life of individuals on the autism spectrum, while facilitating their reintegration into society. Iran Autism Association

The Iran Autism Association (IAA) is a non-governmental, non-profit organization and the only nationally recognized autism association in Iran, officially licensed by both the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Health. With 23 regional offices across the country and consultative status at the United Nations (ECOSOC), the Association serves as a leading voice for individuals on the autism spectrum and their families.

Since its founding, IAA has been committed to delivering comprehensive diagnostic, rehabilitation, and support services. Guided by a scientific and community-based approach, the Association works to enhance the quality of life for individuals with autism and to promote greater inclusion and participation in society.
