Providing specialized consultation for families and following up their needs in health and medical issues.
The Family Health department covers all matters related to the physical and mental condition of autistic individuals. People with autism and their families face a variety of problems. The need for rehabilitation (speech therapy and occupational therapy), medication, and other therapeutic interventions are among the needs of the autistic community.
The IAA has lunched telephone counseling services (Help Line) in 2020 to provide the community with specialized consultation in all subjects relates to autism.
Specialized counselors in this field walk with all society to cope with their concerns and ambiguities. Some parents worry about whether their child has an autism or not. through the initial test, we examine some of the symptoms. Based on the result, we refer them to doctors and psychiatrists who specialize in autism and are approved by the “Iran Autism association.”
Also autism community needs psychological and legal consultations in subjects related to autism or have a question about autism challenges, so we are here to guidance them.
Our psychologists, Consultants, and helpers at the Iran Autism Association listen to families’ concerns and issues and providing advice and guidance helps solve the problems these families generally face.
Beyond general counseling, our specialists in a different field (like doctors, lawyers, etc.) stand by individuals and families to help them solve their problems.
The “Iran Autism Association” launched a national registration system in 2020. This program helps us reach accurate statistics, record the target community’s information and integrate them, provide services fast and timely access to information. At the same time, the autistic community benefits too, in a way that with this card, all medical, rehabilitation, and educational information are accessible everywhere.
However, all services like using a system of missing children with autism, insurance services, etc., are available with this card, though.
