Since people with autism are bothered by cars’ horns or other emotional behaviors, Iran Autism Association (IAA) designed and specific stickers and distributed them to all provinces and families to inform others about the presence of the autistic person in the car.
This label helps improve individual safety and makes the community more supportive of these people and their families.
Saiedeh Saleh Ghaffari – Executive director of IAA said: We should company with the autistic community in every social space. Most autistics can’t commute with public transportation due to sensory and anxiety problems. But streets, traffic, horns, etc., also bother them and make them nervous. So the least empathy of us with these peoples is understanding them. So our goal at Iran Autism Association is to raise people’s awareness about these difficult situations.
